ILR BOARD MINUTES
May 14, 2009
Meeting
called to order
at 8:04pm EDT. Board Members: Mark Smith, Kathi McKinney, Karen
Baum, Mary Jo Miller, Kristy Brown and Registrar, Jan Wassink
present.

Affirmation of Actions of ILR-SD Governing Board from April 14,
2009 and April 21, 2009:
motion Mary Jo, second Kathi; Motion passed unanimously.

for her 10 years of service to the ILR Board.
Finances/Registrar
– The year to date finances for 2008 and 2009 are running
similarly. The board went into executive session to discuss
leases of renters of the Meridian building and anticipated
expenses.
Board
Elections:
deadline for voting is May 20, 2009. The accountant is expected
to contact us with the results including the online and mailed
ballots within two weeks of the closing of the election. The new
board member will be announced as soon as the accountant
contacts us with results.
ILR-SD:
The ILR reminds everyone to utilize the free Calendar of Llama
events on the registry website,
www.lamaregistry.com. The calendar is all inclusive and we
welcome all members to list any llama related event they are
involved in. ILR-SD shows will be highlighted on the site. There
will be a link placed on the website joining the calendar and
the ILR-SD pages. There are currently 370 paid memberships in
the ILR-SD. The board discussed the expenses of the ILR-SD and
the amount of staff time utilized to administer the ILR-SD. The
board discussed establishing a national show committee for 2010
and will ask the ILR-SD Governing Board for suggestions.
ShowManager:
The board reviewed ShowManager fees and no changes were made.
Not all ILR-SD shows are using ShowManager to prepare their
shows and are instead using it after the show to report results.
Show management is encouraged to send results as soon as
possible after the show so results can be posted to the ILR
website. We cannot post them if they are not sent to us. Members
are encouraged to contact show superintendents if the results
have not been submitted.
Website:
A member requested that a list of transporters and/or travel
itineraries be posted on the ILR website. Jan will investigate
programming costs and the topic is tabled until the Face to Face
meeting.
