ILR Board of Directors Conference
November 16, 2004

The ILR Board of Directors teleconference meeting was called to order by President, Karen Baum , at 12:04 PM , EDT. Present: Karen Baum , Art Kennel , Kathi McKinney, Sally Rucker , Sally Taylor , and Jan Wassink, Registrar.

Motion: Kathi McKinney. Approve minutes of October 19, 2004 teleconference meeting. Sally Rucker , Second. 4 Ayes.

The next teleconference call will be 12:00 Noon , EST, December 14, 2004 .

Registrar's Report. Financials: Jan answered questions on the financial reports which included the profit and loss and year-to-date figures.

ARI: No payment has been made by ARI. ILR is proceeding aggressively to collect the past due monies owed ILR by ARI.

Committee Reports: A transfer of registration requiring DNA verification was received. The both parents of the animal failed to qualify for DNA. Jan will notify the owners and try to work through the process with them to see if it can be resolved.

• Informational brochures: Llama Facts for New Owners has been edited and will be circulated to the BOD for final approval. Medical Management brochure is in the final editing process.

• The “Standards of Care” document has been reviewed by Karen. Joyce Abrams asked Karen if the ILR would review it when it is finished.

• The LANA Expo will be held in Plymouth , CA , June 21-26, 2004 . We will make plans to meet for the annual meeting during that time and finalize the schedule at the next meeting.

Sally Rucker left the meeting for another commitment at 1:45 PM , EST.

• Karen Baum attended the USAHA meeting in North Carolina . She reported that Karen Conyngham accepted the position to be the ILR representative at USAHA and be on the executive committee for ILR. Karen suggested, and Art agreed that there should be a presenter at the Cattle, Llama and Bison Session to give a paper on camelids issues.

Motion: Kathi McKinney. Adjourn the meeting. Second: Art Kennel . 4 Ayes.
